Weneed an ER Clerk to join our Emergency Department team! You want to be part ofour Emergency Department because it's one of the most dynamic areas in thehospital, it's where patient journeys often begin, and it's powered bycollaboration and problem-solving. In this role you will get to help coordinateadmissions, discharges, and transfers, play a key role in keeping patient flowmoving smoothly and much more!

Asthe successful applicant, you will do the following:

- Register patientsusing the Meditech computer system & entering data accurately
- Perform allclerical duties related to admission, discharge, transfers, etc.
- Acquire requiredinformation and payment methods for visits
- Completerequisitions for diagnostic testing, schedules tests & appointmentsand arrange for ambulances as necessary
- Operateswitchboard after hours as requested





WhatYou’ll Bring

Required

- Previousclerical experience in the health care field
- Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
- Proficientcomputer and typing skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectivelyunder pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume acute care environment
