Position
Part‑time French teacher/tutor/coach at Oxford Learning St. Catharines.
Location and Hours
In‑person. Hours include after‑school and evenings (4:00‑7:00 pm) and Saturdays (10:00‑1:00 pm). Commitment until end of school year preferred; summer extension a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
- Administer lessons in French only; use supplied curriculum; no lesson planning required.
- Fill in post‑lesson notes and update daily student communication.
- Maintain a friendly and skilled manner at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong background in spoken and written French and English.
- Teach up to Grade 9; Grade 12 preferred.
- Commute to St. Catharines; no relocation packages.
- Vulnerable‑sector screening mandatory.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification; current university students with tutoring experience considered.
- Teaching certification an asset.
- Knowledge of Grades 9‑12 French core curriculum.
- Experience teaching/tutoring French at Grade 9‑12; strong English communication; ability to multitask with up to three students.
