As we scale our offerings and expand our reach, we’re looking for an organized and motivated intern to support client research and internal knowledge management efforts.

Job Overview:

As a Business Analyst Intern, you will support RTS's business development and delivery teams through market research, client profiling, and the optimization of our internal file directories and knowledge base. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to how consulting practices organize and operationalize information to support sales, marketing, and execution efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Industry Research

- Conduct research on companies in target industries (i.e., manufacturing, food & beverage, mining) to identify key players, organizational structures, and operational challenges.
- Build and maintain client profiles and industry trend summaries for use by RTS leadership and delivery teams.
- Identify potential clients for outreach by analyzing publicly available information, news releases, and thought leadership trends.





Practice Documentation & File Directory Optimization

- Audit and organize existing internal directories across RTS’s core business units (MES, Operational Excellence, Asset Management).
- Assist in structuring templates, best practice documents, and frameworks for easy access and re-use.
- Recommend improvements to naming conventions, tagging, and storage processes to enhance efficiency and collaboration.

Support for Sales & Marketing

- Provide background research for marketing campaigns, capability decks, and case studies.
- Help summarize competitive benchmarks and best practices from peer consulting firms.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in a program related to Business Administration, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Robust research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information clearly.
- Detail-oriented with a knack for organizing digital content and information structures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with SharePoint or CRM platforms is an asset.
- Strong written communication skills and an interest in consulting, operations, or industrial technology.
- A self-starter with curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative attitude.
