Become a Project Coordinator with CONNECTING OTTAWA for the Ottawa Wills Project. This hybrid position allows you to work remotely while engaging directly in community initiatives.
In this role, you will coordinate an key project geared towards providing wills and legal aid to low-income residents of Ottawa. Your responsibilities will include budget management, stakeholder communication, and overseeing law student volunteers. By integrating legal resources and community outreach, you will play a vital role in supporting those in need within Ottawa.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in long-term project planning and oversight
• Manage project records and create reports
• Supervise law students and pro-bono lawyer engagement
• Coordinate client intake and service delivery
• Conduct community outreach and share project information
Requirements:
• Law degree or comparable experience in project management
• Strong background in financial management and oversight
• Excellent communication, especially in French
• Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
• Understanding of advocacy for vulnerable clients
