Job Description

We are currently hiring an experienced and dependable Construction Labourer / Pipe Layer to join our team in Grimsby, Ontario. The successful candidate will have 3–4 years of experience working on underground utility and civil construction projects in a unionized environment.

This position involves installing watermain, sewer, and storm piping systems while supporting various construction site operations and maintaining strict safety standards.

Responsibilities
Install underground watermain, sewer, and storm pipes
Assist with excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling
Read and follow site plans, grades, and utility drawings
Work safely around heavy equipment and excavation sites
Perform general construction labour duties as required
Maintain a clean and secure work environment
Follow union, company, and health & safety regulations




Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to complete projects efficiently

Requirements
3–4 years of pipe laying and construction labour experience
Experience in civil construction and underground utilities
Previous unionized construction experience preferred
Knowledge of trench safety and pipe installation procedures
Valid Ontario driver’s license (G license preferred)
Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors
Strong communication and teamwork skills
