Temporary Mailroom Clerk

Location: Vancouver, BC.
Start/End Date: October 19, 2026 - December 18, 2026
Work Type: In office
Compensation: $21 per hour

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and organized Temporary Mailroom Clerk to support mailroom operations on a short-term basis. The Mailroom Clerk will be responsible for receiving, sorting, distributing, and shipping mail items and packages, as well as managing customer requests and inquiries by phone, email, and in person.

What You'll Do
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and courier envelopes, packages, and boxes.
Prepare, determine the method of shipment, and ship outgoing mail and packages.
Weigh outgoing mail, apply appropriate postage, and prepare shipping documentation
Deliver office supplies received from suppliers and process returns as requested.
Deliver courier packages, letters, and other items.
Maintain records of incoming and outgoing packages, including waste and recycling collection.
Maintain accurate records for all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.




Ensure the mailroom is maintained in an organized manner.
Manage customer requests and inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Perform other duties as assigned for specific locations.

Qualifications
High school education plus up to 1 year of demonstrated clerical or mailroom work experience.
Robust customer service skills.
Ability to process volumes of mail and packages in a timely and accurate manner.
Ability to perform manual physical labour, including walking and sorting, for sustained periods.
Ability to lift heavy packages up to 50 lbs.
Ability to operate mailroom equipment such as carts and manual pump trucks.
Intermediate computer proficiency to maintain records of incoming and outgoing mail and packages and navigate email platforms such as Outlook or Google.
