Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Rehabilitation Worker to support individuals in their daily living needs. This role involves providing personalized care in a home-like environment, promoting independence, and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents. The ideal candidate will have a robust commitment to enhancing quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or dementia.

Duties
Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and safety protocols
Support residents with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition intake
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Maintain a clean and secure environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
Assist with activities that promote independence and social engagement
Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to supervisory staff
Support residents with specialized needs related to dementia or other cognitive impairments
Follow care plans and document care provided accurately and timely

Requirements
Diploma or certificate in Human Services, Disability Support,



Continuing Care, Social Services, or a related field is considered an asset.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is highly desirable
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
Transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks effectively
Compassionate attitude towards seniors and individuals requiring special assistance
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a supportive environment
Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality care
Casual staff provide coverage for vacations, sick leave, and other operational needs and must be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
