A temporary, 18-month contract for position of Administrator - Health and Welfare has become available in the Winnipeg Office. The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities to be performed. It should be noted that employees may be required to perform job related tasks in addition to those presented in the posting.
Responsibilities
Adjudicate and process health & dental claims for assigned Plans
Understand and apply the terms of benefit plans
Communications, written and verbal, with:
Plan beneficiaries and service organizations
Regional offices and local unions
Follow office procedures as established by management
Provide reception/telephone coverage as needed
Assist with special projects and other administrative duties, as required/assigned
Skills
Experience in the adjudication and processing of health and dental claims
Excellent organizational skills
Good working knowledge of the iSeries systems
Positive communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent working knowledge of Word and Excel
High degree of initiative
Aptitude for figures
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Availability and willingness to work overtime as required
Willingness to be involved with continuing education as required

Pay: $22.00-$22.80 per hour
