We are seeking a CPA and CBV with 5+ years of experience in litigation support, forensic accounting, or economic loss analysis, with specific expertise in Ontario SABS/IRB reporting. This is a leadership opportunity to oversee an Accident Benefits Division, manage a professional team, and deliver credible, defensible financial analysis for complex litigation matters.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the Accident Benefits Division, managing case managers and administrative professionals.
Review, prepare, and sign off on Ontario Income Replacement Benefit (IRB/SABS) reports.
Prepare and review economic loss reports for litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
Provide independent, objective, and well-supported financial and economic opinions.
Ensure expert reports are accurate, thorough, professionally supported, and defensible.
Work closely with lawyers, insurers, and other professionals on complex financial and economic matters.
Provide expert testimony at trials, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings when required.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and supporting analysis for all findings and conclusions.
Manage workflow and ensure the timely progression of IRB files from intake through completion.
Contribute to broader litigation support services, including forensic accounting, business valuation, economic loss quantification, and business interruption matters.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight to the team.
Qualifications
CPA and CBV designations are required.
5+ years of relevant experience in litigation support, forensic accounting, economic loss quantification, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience preparing or reviewing Ontario SABS/IRB reports.
Robust financial analysis, analytical, and expert report-writing skills.
Experience working with law firms, insurers, forensic accounting firms, or litigation professionals.
Solid understanding of expert financial reporting, professional standards, and defensible financial analysis.
Previous trial, arbitration, or expert testimony experience is an asset.
Proven team leadership and management capabilities.
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex matters and competing priorities in a fast-paced litigation setting.
