Job Overview

RBG Engineering Inc. is a small structural engineering firm serving contractors, architects, BCIN designers, developers and property and home owners. We are seeking a part time dynamic and dedicated Structural Engineering Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be designing, drafting, and managing structural engineering contracts across a diverse range of residential and commercial renovations and recent build construction projects.

Responsibilities
Develop detailed structural drawings using AutoCAD
Complete basic structural engineering calculations
Assist in creating technical documents including drawings, reports, letters and PDF Markups
Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors and other clients

Experience




Experience as a Structural Engineering Technologist or Draftsperson within the construction or civil engineering industry
Understanding of structural engineering building design utilizing materials including wood, steel, concrete and CMU design
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
Knowledge of industry standards and the Ontario Building Code (Part 4 and Part 9)
Proficient in English

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 15.0 per week
