Overview:
We are seeking Contract Weather Observers to join our team. As an Observer, you will play a crucial role in aviation safety by updating current weather reports from your station that will be available to pilots from anywhere in the world.
Duties:
Monitor local weather conditions continuously throughout your shift
Report any criteria requiring a special observation to be reported
Issue an hourly report every hour during your shift that describes conditions to the best of your ability
Be able to work independently and reliably every shift.
Provide feedback to other staff about changes in airport conditions, (such as power failures, heating issues, airport staff interactions), equipment outages and/or changes in your personal status (requests for sick leave, vacations, temporary coverage for home emergencies, etc)in a timely manner.
Skills:
Proficiency in English for effective communication
Robust organizational skills to maintain detailed records
Knowledge of basic Math is a pl
Documentation:
-Completion of High school or post secondary
Recent (within the last 12 months) Criminal Record Check
-Certificate of completion of CWO training course from NavCanada.
Job Types: Part time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 27.0 – 36.0 per week
