Job Summary

Join our team as a Part-time Cheesemonger, where your love of cheese and food will be front and centre. In this role, you'll serve as a knowledgeable guide for customers seeking artisanal cheeses, pairing suggestions and offering a superior customer service experience. We strive to make each and every visit to our shop a warm, informative and memorable experience for our customers.

Duties
Provide guidance to customers on cheese suggestions, pairings, and storage tips
Assist with the preparation and presentation of cheese & charcuterie boxes
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cheese display cases and retail space in accordance with food safety standards
Handle food products safely, including proper storage, cutting, wrapping, and labeling of cheeses as well as slicing and packaging charcuterie meats
Engage in serving customers warmly, ensuring prompt and friendly service
Follow all food handling and safety protocols to uphold high standards of hygiene and quality





Qualifications
Knowledge or strong interest in learning about cheese types and pairings
Reliable, friendly and a valuable listener and communicator
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
Food handlers certificate is an asset

Required Availability
Thursdays & Fridays 10am - 6pm, Mondays 11am - 5pm
Must be available for full time hours during the holiday season
Weekend availability is an asset

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 34.0 per week
