Position: Phlebotomist with Infusion & IV Experience
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team in Brampton. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with blood collection, IV insertion, and infusion services, with a solid focus on patient safety, comfort, and quality care.
Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection accurately and safely.
Initiate and maintain IV access according to applicable protocols and scope of practice.
Assist with or administer IV infusions as permitted by qualifications and regulatory requirements.
Prepare patients and equipment for blood collection and infusion procedures.
Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or concerns.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Follow infection-control, safety, and privacy procedures.
Properly label, handle, and transport specimens.
Provide professional and compassionate patient care.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical or healthcare setting.
Demonstrated IV insertion and infusion experience.
Strong venipuncture skills with the ability to work with a variety of patients.
Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Current CPR/BLS certification is an asset.
Relevant Canadian certification, registration, or licensing as required for the duties performed.
