Join our dedicated team as a Tree Watering Person and play a vital role in maintaining the health and beauty of our urban landscape. In this energetic and hands-on position, you will be responsible for ensuring trees receive proper hydration through regular watering, supporting the growth and sustainability of our green spaces. Your proactive approach will help foster vibrant, thriving environments that perk communities and ecosystems alike.
Duties
Water trees across designated areas using hand tools, hoses, or portable irrigation systems to ensure consistent moisture levels.
Assess soil moisture and tree health to determine appropriate watering schedules and techniques.
Use power tools such as sprayers or pumps to efficiently deliver water to larger or hard-to-reach trees.
Occasionally assist with landscape maintenance tasks, including mulching, raking, digging tree holes.
Maintain detailed records of watering schedules, locations, and observations on tree conditions for ongoing health monitoring.
Identify signs of stress or disease in trees and report findings to supervisors for further action.
Qualifications
Experience with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, or watering trailer / truck.
Familiarity with power tools used in landscape maintenance or gardening is a plus.
Knowledge of horticulture principles, irrigation systems, and landscape upkeep enhances your suitability for this role.
Strong interest in gardening, plant care, and environmental stewardship.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols.
Basic understanding of irrigation systems and soil moisture assessment techniques is desirable.
