Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prepper/Painter to join our body shop. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting and performing basic bodywork to ensure each vehicle meets our high standards of quality and appearance. Your energetic approach and mechanical aptitude will help streamline the prepping process, making sure vehicles are ready for the finishing coat. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in automotive repair and painting within a rapid-paced, team-oriented environment.

Duties
Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Perform minor body repairs using hand tools and power tools to fix dents, scratches, or surface imperfections
Mix and apply primers, fillers, and other preparatory coatings with precision and care
Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or panels to facilitate effective prepping processes
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use
Follow safety protocols diligently when handling chemicals, paints,



and power tools
Support the painting team by providing assistance with masking, taping, and surface inspections

Experience
Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair setting is highly preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive systems and repairs
Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and wrenches
Experience working with power tools for sanding, grinding, or surface preparation
Ability to lift heavy vehicle parts or equipment safely and efficiently
Knowledge of automotive painting processes or prior painter experience is a plus
Basic understanding of automotive repair procedures enhances your ability to contribute effectively

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
