Swamper / Box Truck Driver - Salmon Arm, BC

Our client is a locally owned waste management provider serving the North Okanagan and Shuswap regions. With a commitment to delivering high-quality waste services - including commercial, residential, construction, liquid waste, hauling, and processing - they operate with a dedicated team of over 45 employees.

Our client is looking for a Waste Collection Driver to operate box trucks in the Salmon Arm, BC area.

Responsibilities
Drive box trucks to collect refuse and recyclables from designated locations within the service area.
Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
Maintain accurate driver logs and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Plan and navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps to optimize time and service delivery.
Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures to ensure a secure work workplace.




Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness to keep equipment in optimal condition.

Qualifications
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Able to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly and perform manual tasks such as pushing, pulling, and climbing.
Robust time management skills and the ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.
Experience in waste collection, material handling, or a related field an asset.
Ability to navigate routes and use GPS or mapping tools effectively.
