Position: IT Event Support

Reports to: Manager, IT Infrastructure

SUMMARY:

The IT Event Support will troubleshoot company supported software and hardware problems and for receiving requests for technology services during all events (i.e. hockey games, concerts, etc.). The incumbent will be responsible for providing first level assistance and for assigning/dispatching technical support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(other duties may be assigned as required)
Provide first level support on computer hardware and software issues
Ensure timely recording, tracking, escalation and resolution of end-user technical problems and requirements received via telephone, e-mail, or in person
Record all calls in the Ticketing System as per escalation procedures and priority settings and assign to appropriate Technology Team member
Perform cabling, hardware deployment, and lifting/moving of IT equipment as required.
Update documentation and schematics as required
Assist in documenting and communicating user/technical service policies for products supported by the Help Desk
Availability to work outside normal business hours i.e. evenings and weekends

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:




Working towards a degree or diploma in a technical related area
Strong technical aptitude
Basic understanding of Windows & Mac laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, printers and assorted peripherals
Proven ability to work in a quick paced environment
A willingness to learn
Highly organized, and detailed with an ability to multi-task
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Superior interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively and in a qualified manner with end users at all levels within the organization
Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with networking would be an asset
Onsite role at Rogers Arena
