Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a passion for automotive repair. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
Responsibilities
Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs
Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform bodywork, including welding and sanding
Replace or repair damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, doors and quarter panels
Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Collaborate with team members to maintain an productive workflow in the shop
Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols
Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes and timelines
Requirements
Robust mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to auto body work
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs
Previous experience working in a auto body shop is preferred
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team workplace
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
