Senior Software Engineers will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting mission-critical services within a Brazil-focused payments platform. This role will have a strong emphasis on API development, microservices, event-driven architecture, payment integrations, and scalable service implementation. The engineer will collaborate closely with teams based in Brazil and work as a key contributor within a distributed global engineering organization. Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs. Build integrations between core banking systems and external payment platforms and ecosystems. Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka and asynchronous messaging patterns. Design and implement RESTful APIs and service-to-service integrations. Participate in technical design, architecture discussions, and solution refinement. Ensure applications meet functional, performance, security, compliance, and reliability requirements. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality, and engineering best practices. Troubleshoot production issues and support performance, reliability, and scalability improvements. Help drive modernization and long-term sustainability of the Brazil payments platform. Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed engineering teams. Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with

Java and Spring Boot . Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems and microservices. Strong experience building

REST APIs

and integrating backend services. Solid knowledge of

Kafka ,



event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging. Experience with MongoDB and/or

relational databases

such as Oracle or PostgreSQL. Experience with Redis or other caching technologies. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, and DevOps practices. Experience working within Agile development environments. Background supporting

payment systems, financial platforms, or transaction-processing applications . Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with distributed global teams. Desired Skills & Experience

Experience working with Brazilian payment platforms and financial ecosystems. Knowledge of

PIX, TED, DDA, Receivables, Cash Management , or related banking products. Experience with

Matera

platforms or payment-processing solutions. Familiarity with Airflow or other workflow orchestration platforms. Experience with

OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker , and cloud-native technologies. Experience with

Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana , or comparable observability platforms. Experience working within highly regulated financial services organizations.
