PART – TIME LAUNDRY AIDE - Extendicare London

As a valued member of our housekeeping and maintenance team, you will provide a clean and safe setting to residents and staff in accordance with policies, procedures and work routines.

What you’ll be doing

- Processing all house linens, washing, drying and placing linen on carts for delivery to units
- Processing residents’ personal laundry including washing and drying
- Continuing processing other linens during shift such as isolation, dietary and housekeeping linens as necessary
- Cleaning laundry equipment – removing lint from dryers
- Labelling residents’ personal clothing
- Adhering to established company policies and procedures regarding infection prevention and control, quality assurance, fire, and safety
- Participating in staff meetings as assigned, attending in‑service education programs and completing all mandatory education as assigned




- Collaborating with other departments to ensure residents’ clothing items are delivered to the correct room and locating misplaced items

What you bring

- Comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear (non‑slip soles, enclosed) for handling heavy lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching and exposure to biochemical agents and wet floors
- Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures
- Criminal reference check with Vulnerable Sector Screening to be provided
