Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Bedford, NS
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

The Accounts Payable Clerk will support daily accounting administration by processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate records, reconciling vendor statements, and assisting with month-end financial tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and comfort working with accounting records, internal departments, and financial documentation.

This position is suited for someone with previous accounts payable or finance administration experience who is organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
Process and verify vendor invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions
Reconcile vendor statements and help resolve discrepancies
Communicate with internal departments to resolve invoicing or payment issues
Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting as required




Support process improvements for accounts payable operations
Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
Follow company procedures and confidentiality requirements
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting administration, or a similar finance role
Previous experience with accounts payable processes preferred
Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field considered an asset
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Experience using accounting software considered an asset
Robust attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Robust organizational and time-management skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Qualified, reliable, and comfortable handling confidential information
