We are currently seeking Event Services Custodians to support overnight room conversions and facility cleaning. This position is essential to ensure a presentation of excellence with each unique event held at TCU Place.

Typical Duties

- Performs the setup and dismantling of events, including theatre, weddings, banquets, conventions, meetings, trade shows and cabarets.
- Responds to client requests before and during events.
- Assists with janitorial and general cleaning duties.
- Removes debris and snow from outside grounds, including walkways and patio.
- Performs security checks of building, as required.
- Responds to radio calls, covers the stage door and assists with shipping and receiving, as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public and other employees.
- Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.
- Ability to operate mechanical equipment.

Security Requirements

- Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment.

Education, Training And Experience Requirements

- Grade 10 education.
- Three months' related setup and teardown experience.

Hours Of Work

- Shift work and weekend work is required.

The scheduling of this position is surrounding the needs of our events with shifts primarily starting at midnight and overnight.

Salary: $20.13 - $22.20 per hour
