In this role, you will work on the 3D editor in Ansys Electronics Desktop, helping improve geometry and meshing workflows for electromagnetic simulation.What You'll Be DoingDevelop 3D geometry algorithms that support modeling, validation, and meshing for electromagnetic simulation Contribute to AI/ML-driven capabilities for geometry validation, error detection, and workflow automationBuild high-performance C++ software and Python-based automation toolsPartner with simulation engineers, product managers, QA, and developers to solve user workflow challengesOwn defined features from development through testing and deliverThe Impact You Will HaveImprove the quality, reliability, and usability of core geometry and meshing capabilitiesReduce debugging time by creating clearer, more effective user workflowsSupport thoughtful use of AI/ML in CAD and simulation environmentsDeliver maintainable, high-quality software that strengthens the product experienceWhat You'll NeedBSEE, BSCS,
or related field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's with 3+ years, or a PhD with relevant experienceStrong C++ skills in performance-sensitive software developmentSolid understanding of 3D geometry modeling, algorithms and data structuresExperience with Python for scripting and automationWorking knowledge of meshing concepts and geometry issues that affect simulation successExposure to AI/ML in geometry, CAD or related workflows is a plusExperience in commercial software development is a plusWho You AreYou solve complex technical problems with practical engineering judgmentYou write clear, maintainable code built for long-term useYou communicate well across disciplines and work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teamsYou take ownership of your work and deliver with consistencyThe Team You'll Be Part OfYou will join the team responsible for the 3D editor in Ansys Electronics Desktop, a flagship product for electromagnetic simulation at Synopsys.
