Schedule: Evenings (4pm - 8pm) Monday to Thursday (Must be available for either Day 1: Mon/Wed OR Day 2: Tues/Thurs shift) Saturdays (10am-2pm)
Candidate must reside within a short commute of the Mississauga area.
Must have Canadian Curriculum experience. No international or out-of-province applications will be considered.
Candidate must possess a robust background in both math and all sciences (Biology, Chemistry & Physics) and must be comfortable teaching students in Grades 9 - 12 at all levels. Familiar with Ontario curriculum.
Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Teacher‑Tutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements
Available Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 8:00pm, and Saturdays 10:00am - 2:00pm. Commitment for the whole school year preferred. Continuing through summer better. Reliable and consistent availability required.
This role is in-person. Must be able to commute to this location. Relocation packages not available. No online position.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum, including senior math,
Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, Calculus, vectors, physics, chemistry, and biology.
Experience
- Some experience teaching/tutoring math and science at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Responsibilities (Position Details)
- Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
- Teaching online and in-person
- Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Filling in post‑lesson notes
- Completing daily student communication updates
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
