Overview
Allied Universal is currently hiring Security Professionals in London, ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with robust customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and willing to work with a dynamic team.
Requirement
- Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
- Experience with report writing and note-taking.
- Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
- Valid Ontario security guard license.
- Driver's License is considered an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
- First Aid and CPR.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions
- Patrol interior and exterior of facility, looking for signs of illegal / criminal activity, vagrancy, theft, property damage.
- Conduct regular communication checks with City of London Security dispatch.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Document shift activities in Daily Activity Report; complete incident reports with AUS mobile team.
- Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times.
- Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate.
- Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.
- Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies.
- Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager.
- Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Operate/monitor security room equipment, completion of site required training.
