Become a Support Worker for the Sanctum and Sanctum 1.5 initiatives, aiding clients affected by HIV. Available shifts include days, evenings, and nights across various care settings.
In this casual position, your primary focus will be on assisting those with HIV and related psychosocial challenges. You will deliver personal care, manage medication protocols, and support clients through their recovery plans. A commitment to fostering independence and understanding is key to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal support including personal hygiene and nutrition
• Facilitate adherence to medication and health plans
• Build interpersonal rapport with clients
• Maintain accurate confidential files for each resident
• Assist in meal planning and general housekeeping duties
Requirements:
• Diploma or certificate in social work, care aid, or related area
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications required
• Familiarity with harm reduction and trauma-informed practices
• Solid communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience working with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
