Temporary Part-time Grade 1 and 2 Teacher

East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division invites applications for the position of 0.5 FTE Grade 1 and 2 Teacher at School of Hope in Vermilion, Alberta. This is a part time temporary contract position starting August 26, 2026 to October 30, 2026. The position can be taught from any of our centers: Vermilion or Wainwright on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon. We will train the successful candidate on the use of Canvas (Course Learning Management System) and Zoom (online lesson platform) as necessary.

Individuals exhibiting the following education, characteristics or interests are encouraged to apply:

- Bachelor of Education
- Familiarity with Grade 1 and 2 subjects is an asset
- Focus on high quality, student-centered learningl>
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and to exercise servant leadership
- Willing to take initiative to organize workshops and field trips for students
- Familiarity with Online Learning and lesson delivery an asset

The School of Hope is an on-line school with two main offices located in Vermilion and Sherwood Park, Alberta serving students in Grades 1-12 in both Teacher Directed and Parent Directed programs. The successful applicant will serve students and families predominantly through online lessons, interactions on phone, email or through fax. Some teacher-led workshops and field trips are also part of the learning model.
