Support adults in need by becoming a Cook at Lookout Housing and Health Society. This part-time role requires menu planning and strict adherence to safety standards while serving vulnerable populations.

You will work on weekends at The Junction-Courtenay, preparing nutritious meals and maintaining a protected kitchen environment. Your skills will help in managing volunteers and overseeing meal service, all while fostering a supportive atmosphere for our community’s most challenged individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Cook and serve meals, snacks, and beverages
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
• Oversee and assist volunteers in the kitchen
• Execute menu plans and manage supply orders
• Follow all health and safety guidelines

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education and a Cooking Diploma
• Two years of relevant culinary experience
• FOODSAFE and Occupational First Aid certificates
• Ability to handle daily tasks independently
• Criminal Record Check for Vulnerable Sector
