Night Line Cook

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items such as soups, sauces, vegetables, meats, and desserts during the night shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized cooking area, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Work efficiently under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously during peak hours.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food preparation.
- Follow standardized recipes and kitchen procedures to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Work full‑time with evening shifts, typically starting around 5 PM and ending around 2 AM, including weekends and holidays.
- Be flexible to work additional shifts during peak times or special events.

Qualifications





- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Robust knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, and food processors.
- Food handling certification or ability to obtain one (e.g., "Food Safe Level 1 Certification").
- Preferred: Experience in high‑volume or fine dining restaurants.
- Preferred: Knowledge of different cooking techniques and culinary styles.
- Preferred: Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Preferred: Strong communication and organizational skills.

Salary & Benefits

- Minimum Salary: CAD 15.00 per hour
- Average Salary: CAD 18.00 per hour
- Maximum Salary: CAD 22.00 per hour
