Counsellor – Individual, Couples & Family Focus

Hybrid Position in Kelowna, BC Population Focus: Adults, Couples, Families Crowning Life Counselling is seeking a warm, collaborative counsellor to support adults, couples, and families in navigating relational challenges, conflict, and emotional overwhelm. This is an ideal role for a clinician who values client-centred care, meaningful therapeutic relationships, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference in high-conflict or court-involved family systems. You’ll have the flexibility to build a caseload that fits your strengths and a supportive team around you every step of the way. What You’ll Need

Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field RCC, RSW, or equivalent designation (or eligible for registration) Experience supporting individuals, couples, and families Comfort working in high-conflict, court-involved family systems Key Qualities

Deep empathy and emotional attunement Strong active listening and communication skills Non-judgmental and respectful of diverse lived experiences Cultural competence and sensitivity to family systems and dynamics Patience and the ability to support clients at their own pace High integrity, confidentiality,



and professionalism Preferred Clinical Skills

Skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment-based, or family systems approaches Strong relationship-focused care: able to support couples and families in restoring connection and improving communication Commitment to helping clients build tools for conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and long-term change Strong interpersonal, documentation, and collaboration skills Competitive compensation: $90–$100/hour Flexible scheduling: part-time or full time caseloads welcome Steady stream of referrals from our waitlist Full administrative support: intake, billing, scheduling, and office systems Beautiful central Kelowna office with free parking Hybrid and virtual session options are available Compensation Counsellors at Crowning Life Counselling are paid $90–$100 per session, depending on qualifications and caseload. Compensation is transparent and consistent, with no unexpected deductions. You’ll be paid regularly with a steady stream of referrals so you can focus on doing what you do best—supporting your clients.
