We are looking for a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team.This role will lead the financial planning process, analyze performance, provide strategic insights, and support strategic planning and corporate development for Andean. The position will work closely with the CFO and senior leadership to drive financial strategy, optimize costs, support business growth initiatives, and ensure robust financial modeling, data-driven decision-making and effective financial reporting.This position requires extensive travel to Andean's mine sites in Bolivia and California, USA.Responsibilities:Financial Planning, Budgeting & ForecastingLead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning for all aspects of Andean, coordinating inputs across departments and mine sitesCoordinate, consolidate, and deliver the Annual Plan, Rolling Latest Best Estimate (RLBE), and other periodic forecastsMaintain an effective planning calendar with key dates and deliverables for all functional areasOwn and administer the corporate planning process within Oracle Hyperion / EPM, including maintaining planning models, hierarchies, scenarios, and reports, and driving continuous improvement of the systemDevelop flexible tools, templates, and process improvements that support timely, accurate consolidation of corporate planning and reporting schedulesBuild and maintain revenue, cost, and cash flow models and valuations for the company and its assets; run scenario and sensitivity analysesAnalyze financial trends, commodity market conditions,
and operational performance to inform strategic decision-makingModel long-term growth and identify the business drivers that influence itAssess risks and opportunities associated with commodity pricing, operational efficiency, and capital expendituresPerformance Reporting & Business PartneringPrepare the monthly financial performance package, KPI reporting, and financial dashboard; develop KPIs and metrics to assess company performanceLead monthly financial review meetings with each department, reporting actuals against budget and reviewing variances and corrective actionsPrepare the monthly headcount actual-to-budget variance report and related forecastsConduct cost analyses, provide commentary on cost centre findings, and recommend initiatives to improve efficiency and profitabilityProvide actionable analysis and recommendations to senior leadership, explaining actual performance against budget and forecastOversee the preparation of management reports and presentations; support ad hoc analysisas requiredPartner with the executive team to develop Andean's medium- and long-term financial and strategic plansSupport M&A; activity, capital investment decisions, and financial due diligence, including post-merger integration and monitoring acquired assets against their expected value and ROIIdentify business issues, propose solutions, and support their implementationManage, coach, and develop one direct report based in Mexico,
setting transparent objectives, reviewing deliverables, and supporting professional growthProvide functional leadership and direction to the mine asset finance and planning teams, which report indirectly to this role; set standards, review deliverables, and ensure consistency and quality of planning, forecasting, and reporting across all sitesBuild strong working relationships with site-based finance and planning teams through regular engagement and extensive travel to the mine sitesQualifications and Skills:Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or College in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Mining Engineer or related field.Master's Degree - MBA in Accounting or Finance or Chartered Financial Analyst is preferredExpert level experience in Excel, including the ability to write macrosExperience using Power BI or other financial analysis experience10+ years of finance, financial planning, corporate development or accounting experience with a focus on Financial Planning and Analysis within the mining industryExcellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.Strong MS office skills and financial systems applications.Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.Hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion / EPM planning applications is required, including building and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and reports within the platformAbility to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projectsSpanish speaker is a plus
