It is our mission that leads us to achieve heightened levels of performance in process, accuracy and customer service.CpK Interior Products Inc. is hiring anINDUSTRIAL ENGINEER (15 MONTH CONTRACT) to support our team in cross-functional operational activities. This role is responsible for planning and overseeing layout of equipment and production facilities. Evaluating operations to maximize work flow and floor space utilization. Ensuring facility efficiency and workplace safety. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Industrial Engineering and Lean Manufacturing, while contributing to Plant SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) objectives.What You’ll Do (Key responsibilities,
not limited to)Study manufacturing machines and methods and take the necessary actions to meet and continuously improve established production standardsSupport new product launches, and product transfersActive member of all Product Development Teams, supporting teams with process development, documented layouts and time studiesEvaluate new/current processes, investigate and pursue current/improved methods of manufacture to reduce production costsInvestigate and develop any tooling/equipment that will improve operator safety or efficiencyConsult with and advise production supervisor and engineers on efficiency problems relative to methods, tooling, handling or designInterview vendors to evaluate new equipment or products and determine qualifications and applicationEstablish standard manufacturing methods and proceduresEstablish safe production cycle time standards through time studiesPrepare and maintain time study and process sheet information for all products/processesPerform necessary research to compile cost justification data for equipment or materialsEnsure work procedures are in accordance with TS/ISO 16949, IATF standards with respect to quality of work, maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and protection of the workplace.Ability to lead and participate in team based problem solvingUnderstanding of and ability to use predetermined Time study system such as M.O.S.TUnderstanding of and ability to use time and motion based study systems such as stop watch, video method,
etc.Understanding and ability to apply concepts of Takt time, Cycle time, PF&D, NVAA, etcUnderstanding and ability to apply line balancing and sequencing to current and proposed processesUnderstanding and ability to apply ergonomic analysis and work concepts to operator work stations and material handling equipment.Ability to conceive design and develop simple work fixturesWhat You BringBachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or related field3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Automotive assemblyGood working knowledge of AutoCADExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsNegotiation skills and perseveranceCreative problem solvingWork Schedule & PaySchedule: Full-time, On-site, Manufacturing Operations15-month contractHours: Monday-Friday, standard hours, weekend work for certain positions based on customer demandOvertime: As required, in accordance with company policy and applicable legislationCompensation Range : $60,000-$80,000annualThis range reflects our current expectations as of this posting’s date.
