FedEx is hiring a Part-Time Courier based out of Glenburnie, Ontario. This is a permanent part-time position operating on Saturdays, Mondays, and Tuesdays with occasional Wednesdays (8-hour days).

The Courier is responsible for providing courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route, checking all shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service, and providing related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

- Pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route in a timely and courteous manner
- Verify shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service
- Provide customer service functions related to deliveries
- Handle packages safely — lifting up to 70 lbs and manoeuvring items up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Complete mandatory training and achieve minimum thresholds on pre-placement driver assessments
- Maintain compliance with Canadian Customs regulations and Federal Express Canada operational standards
- Adapt to varying schedules and work holidays based on business needs
- Operate in a PC Windows environment and complete all recurrence training and annual accreditations as required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities





- High school diploma or educational equivalent
- Must possess a valid Full G driver's licence and have a good driving record (no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months)
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and to manoeuvre any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- One (1) year customer-oriented business experience preferred
- Must achieve minimum threshold on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training
- Some knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, handle stress and work in a highly pressured setting
- Willingness to be flexible and work different schedules and holidays based on business needs

High school diploma or educational equivalent; valid Full G driver's licence with a good driving record; ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs; one year of customer-oriented business experience preferred; must pass mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
