Part‑Time French & English Tutor Wanted

Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Orleans is currently seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching language, and is passionate about helping others build their skills.

Position Requirements

Work schedule: Summer (Monday‑Friday 3:30 pm‑7:00 pm), School year (Monday‑Thursday 4:00 pm‑8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (10:00 am‑3:00 pm).

This role is in‑person only. You must be able to commute to the location; relocation packages are not available.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Must have strong written and oral skills in both French and English.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten‑to‑Grade 12 curriculum

Experience

- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten‑to‑Grade 12 (or equivalent) level




- Solid English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities

- Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
- Teaching online and in‑person
- Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Filling in post‑lesson notes
- Completing daily student communication updates
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Job Details

Job type: Part‑time

Salary: $18.50 per hour

Schedule: Evenings, Monday‑Friday; Saturday availability

Location: 3619 Innes Road, Ottawa, ON (Orleans area). Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Orleans area.
