High School Math & Science Teacher / Tutor
Oxford Learning Guelph Woodlawn & Hanlon is seeking a part‑time teacher/tutor for high school mathematics and science. The role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about teaching, enjoy numbers and equations, and want to help students succeed.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Second, third‑ or fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification is an asset
- Strong knowledge of Grades 9‑12 math, including Advanced Functions, Trigonometry, and Calculus/Vector topics
Experience
- In‑depth experience teaching or tutoring Math and Physics from Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong physics and math skills, with the ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and support up to three students simultaneously
- Fluency in French is an asset
Responsibilities
- Teach up to three students at a time at varying levels
- Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times

Job Details
Job Type: Part‑time
Salary: $20–$21 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Saturday: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (availability required)
