Role Description

Reporting to the President, this position will work to promote Circles to ensure effective implementation of the overall network strategy with the objective of creating a supportive environment and engaging content where members and attendees are provided with exceptional opportunities to network, learn career-enhancing skills, share perspectives, and hear inspiring stories in a warm and protected environment. This includes leading the roll-out of the Lean In organization’s Women at Work program for all members to participate in and collaborate on the learnings from the Women In The Workplace collection. The VP of Circles will also create awareness about the Lean In Montreal brand, attract members to the community, and act as a voice for women in the workplace.

Team Responsibilities

- Develop an implementation plan for Circles that is well-integrated with the other committees outlining the initiatives, including targets and metrics, and associated schedule to deliver the shared goals and objectives identified in Lean In Canada’s Strategic Plan, as well as outlining what support, resources and funding will be required.
- Collaborate with other Lean In Canada network VP of Circle leaders to discuss and develop content for the Circles program to roll-out and invite members in Montreal to launch their own circles.




- Manage overall circles engagement for Lean In Montreal, measured by participation in and an increase in the number of circles created in Montreal each program year.
- Work closely with Lean in Canada’s Board of Director’s Marketing & Communications committee to promote Circles and develop and execute an outreach program.
- Seek out, assess and recommend potential topics and content ideas to Lean In Canada.
- Ensure a consistent quality and welcoming environment for Circles in alignment with the Lean In Canada brand and values.

Desired Qualifications

- Experience in content/program development (including on-line) and writing.
- Experience in volunteer management and leadership development is an asset.
- An understanding of and experience with Lean In Circles is an asset.
- There will be an expectation for this role to complete the Circle leadership training for the Women In The Workplace program.
- An understanding of the benefit of small group support and Lean In Circles an asset
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Slack.

Time Commitment

- 8-10 hours per month, including monthly team meetings, and meetings with other network VP of Circles, as required.
- Network events (required to attend at least four every year)
