Salary Range: $25.00 To $40.00 Hourly

Bannister GP Motorsports is looking for an experienced Recreation Technician / Powersports Mechanic to join our Service team in Grande Prairie.

We are seeking a skilled, hands‑on technician with experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of recreational vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working on snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, side‑by‑sides/UTVs, and other powersports and recreational equipment .

What You’ll Do
As a Recreation Technician, you will be responsible for:

Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and performance concerns on recreational vehicles and equipment

Performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, side‑by‑sides, and other powersports equipment

Completing engine, drivetrain, suspension, brake, steering, and electrical repairs

Performing scheduled maintenance and manufacturer‑recommended services

Installing accessories and performing equipment upgrades or modifications as required

Using diagnostic equipment and service information to accurately identify and resolve concerns

Completing repair orders and documenting work performed accurately

Identifying additional maintenance or repair requirements and communicating findings to the Service team

Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area

Following manufacturer specifications and dealership safety procedures

Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard of quality





What We’re Looking For

Previous professional experience as a Powersports Technician, Motorcycle Technician, Recreation Technician, Small Engine Mechanic, or similar role

Hands‑on experience servicing and repairing snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs and side‑by‑sides

Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities

Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently

Experience using diagnostic tools and manufacturer service information

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Good organizational and time‑management skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Valid driver's licence

Relevant technical training, apprenticeship, or certification is considered an asset
