Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, 9-Month Contract Location: Etobicoke, ON, Hybrid, 2 to 3 days on-site per week

About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established organization in the retail sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team for a 9-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent opportunity.
This is a hands-on role supporting a centralized Accounts Payable function across multiple brands and a diverse portfolio of merchandise and non-merchandise vendors. Youll work closely with the Controller, Senior Accountant and Junior AP Specialist in a small, cooperative team where you can take ownership and make an immediate impact.

Your Responsibilities Youll manage full-cycle Accounts Payable activities within a high-volume, multi-brand environment.
Youll review and process merchandise and non-merchandise invoices accurately and efficiently.
Youll coordinate vendor payments, including EFT, ACH, wires and cheques.
Youll reconcile vendor accounts,



investigate discrepancies and resolve invoice and payment issues.
Youll support month-end and year-end activities, including reconciliations and audit requirements.
Youll work directly with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve inquiries and maintain robust relationships.
Youll contribute to AP process improvements and effective internal controls.
Skills and Qualifications 4+ years of progressive, full-cycle Accounts Payable experience.
Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience is required .
Strong experience with invoice processing, vendor reconciliations and payment runs.
Experience in a high-volume environment, with retail or a similar multi-vendor environment considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
