Location: Calgary, British Columbia
Overview The Senior Technical PM will be responsible for keeping projects aligned with client expectations, scope, schedule, budget and technical requirements from kickoff through delivery.
What you will be doing Lead technical projects from kickoff through execution, delivery and closeout.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage client expectations around scope, schedule, budget, deliverables and changes.
Coordinate internal engineering, design, automation and technical resources.
Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, priorities and action items.
Identify project risks, technical challenges and potential schedule or cost impacts.
Facilitate technical discussions between clients and internal engineering teams.
Manage scope changes and ensure expectations are clearly communicated and documented.
Review technical deliverables and perform high-level QA/QC prior to client submission.
Ensure deliverables meet project requirements and expected quality standards.
Track project progress and communicate status, risks and issues to clients and internal stakeholders.
Support resolution of technical and commercial issues throughout project execution.
Maintain robust client relationships and ensure successful project delivery.
What you must have 8+ years of experience within engineering, industrial automation, systems integration or a related technical environment.
Strong experience managing technical projects and client relationships.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, schedules and deliverables.
Technical background sufficient to understand engineering challenges, project requirements and proposed solutions.
Ability to review engineering/technical deliverables for completeness and quality without needing to personally execute the design work.
Strong understanding of project scope, change management, risk, scheduling and cost control.
Excellent client-facing communication and expectation-management skills.
Comfortable working directly with engineers, designers, automation specialists and other technical resources.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues early and drive them toward resolution.
Salary/Rate $125.00/ hour
