Territory Manager - Taber

Position Overview
Western Tractor Territory Managers are responsible for equipment sales in a defined territory as well as retail sales of equipment. Equipment sales consist of all whole-good product offerings including large agricultural, small agricultural, and commercial workplace equipment. This dual role requires a Territory Manager to sell both outside of the dealership within their territory as well as serve drop-in retail customers during scheduled shifts in the branch.
Responsibilities
Sell equipment to customers in their territory (80%)
Sell equipment to retail customers in the branch (20%)
Visit customer farms on a regular basis
On scheduled days be present in the branch during regular business hours
Prepare equipment quotes and present to customers
Evaluate trades according to WT guidelines
Arrange and perform equipment demonstrations as required
Teach customers how to operate equipment
Deliver equipment to customers as required
Provide superior after-sales support
Complete sales paperwork in a timely manner
Attend various John Deere and Western Tractor training courses
Communicate sales activity to Sales Manager
Perform an annual review with all accounts
All other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager
Working Relationships
Territory Managers report directly to the Branch Sales Manager. Additionally, Territory Managers will coordinate pricing and availability of Small Ag, Turf and CWP products with the Turf/CWP Manager. Territory Managers will also liaison with the Customer Relationship Manager to report customer developments and account activity as required. All customers in a designated territory are subject to re-assignment based on customer expectations, account development and Western Tractor criteria.
Hours of Work
Western Tractor’s regular business hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Extended hours during peak season run from 7:30 am – 6 pm. In addition to regular business hours,
some evening and weekend hours will be required. Scheduled Saturday shifts may also be required and are assigned at the discretion of the Regional Sales Manager.
Position Requirements
White Western Tractor decaled full size pick-up truck (1/2 ton minimum, less than 6 years old)
Personal smart phone (IOS platform preferred)
Western Tractor branded shirt(s)
Compensation
Territory Managers will be paid commissions and bonuses (if applicable) according to the latest commission schedule. A monthly recoverable draw is available at the discretion of the Sales Manager. A monthly vehicle/cell phone allowance will be provided.
Requirements
Experience: Sales experience and p revious John Deere agricultural equipment and product experience is an asset.
People-Focused: Team player with a friendly, outgoing, professional attitude, and a focus on customer service.
Soft Skills: Attention to Detail, strong time management, ability to work independently, and adaptability.
Valid Driver's License: You'll need this for travel to customers and between locations.
