Empower Black youth transitions at Brock University. As a Black Student Transition Specialist, you will engage with students and community members in programs that foster career readiness and persistence.
In this role, reporting to the Manager of the Black Student Success Centre, you will support Black NEET youth by navigating educational and career challenges. Your focus will be on developing and delivering culturally responsive transition programming that enhances belonging and successful outcomes after graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students in overcoming barriers to success
• Facilitate referrals to essential community support services
• Contribute to research and evaluation activities
• Provide individualized coaching for Black students
• Design and implement transition and retention programming
Requirements:
• Background in supporting educational transitions
• Experience in culturally responsive programming
• Robust communication and interpersonal skills
• Data collection and evaluation experience
• Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed
