Serving as a member of the Finance Services team, the Supervisor of School Finance Support will provide leadership and oversight in the administration of School Budgets and School Generated Funds, ensuring financial transactions are reviewed and processed in compliance with Ministry guidelines and Board policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Support school finance compliance through reviews, audits, and Ministry reporting.
Provide training and guidance to Finance Specialists, Principals, and school staff on financial policies and best practices.
Review school budgets, financial transactions, and School Generated Funds reports for accuracy and compliance.
Monitor internal controls, identify risks, and ensure timely resolution of financial issues.
Reconcile accounts, process School Cash transactions, and administer the maintenance of Purchasing VISA cards.
Support school banking activities, signing authorities, and year-end financial reporting requirements.
Prepare Ministry reports, CRA rebate submissions, and audit-related documentation.
Collaborate with school administrators and Financial Services leadership to promote compliance and stewardship of public funds.
Communicate policy updates and support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
Perform other finance, reporting, analysis, and administrative duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of accounting experience within a school board, educational institution, or public sector environment, with demonstrated responsibility for a broad range of financial functions.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, as well as experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and School Cash Suite.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to provide guidance, support, and training to staff, lead projects and initiatives, and foster positive working relationships across departments.
Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
HOURS: Monday to Friday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

SALARY RANGE: $81,352.33 – $90,390.97 per annum
