Project Manager

Pay Rate: $70.00/hour, depending on experience

Contract Length: 6 Months

Location: Esterhazy K1, Saskatchewan

Raise is currently hiring a Project Manager on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique prospect to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s leading integrated producers of concentrated phosphate and potash

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description
The Project Manager in this role will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance, sustaining capital, and continuous improvement projects at Esterhazy K1. This role supports the reliability and integrity of site infrastructure by managing projects that improve safety, operational performance, and asset reliability.Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external contractors, the Project Manager oversees project activities from concept through completion while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

Responsibilities

Project Management

Manage sustaining capital, maintenance, and improvement projects from initiation through closeout.

Coordinate project scope development, planning, scheduling, execution, and commissioning activities.

Administer contractor activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site standards.

Monitor project performance, costs, schedules, and risks, and implement corrective actions as required.

Turnaround Planning & Coordination

Lead the planning and coordination of annual maintenance turnarounds and shutdown activities.

Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors to develop detailed execution plans.

Ensure resources, materials, and contractor support are effectively coordinated to meet turnaround objectives.

Budget & Cost Management





Develop and manage annual maintenance and project budgets.

Monitor expenditures and conduct monthly reviews of actual versus budgeted costs.

Identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining safety, reliability, and quality standards.

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

Support reliability and asset management initiatives through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance equipment performance, maintainability, and operational efficiency.

Develop and improve preventive maintenance strategies, procedures, and best practices.

Leadership & Coordination

Provide day‑to‑day oversight and direction to contractor construction and maintenance crews.

Foster effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site safety requirements and regulations.

Qualifications

Experience managing industrial maintenance, sustaining capital, or construction projects.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or similar software. (SAP, POL, PBI)

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization.

Experience facilitating and applying RCA, FMEA, and RCM methodologies.

Experience developing and implementing preventive maintenance (PM) procedures and programs.

Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, schedules, budgets, and project deliverables within an industrial environment.

Strong organizational, planning,



and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred

Experience in mining, potash processing, heavy industrial, or manufacturing environments.

Technical background in mechanical, electrical, civil, or industrial disciplines

Education and Certifications

Technical background in mechanical, electrical, civil, or industrial disciplines

Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent project management training (preferred)

Working Conditions

Work is performed in both office and industrial environments.

Occasional field work is required in active operating and construction areas.

Exposure to varying weather conditions, including hot and cold outdoor environments.

Must be capable of safely accessing industrial facilities and construction sites
