Join a dedicated team as a Mental Health Nurse at the Central North Correctional Centre. We seek compassionate professionals focused on rehabilitation and patient care in a unique workplace.
This temporary role allows you to apply specialized nursing skills in an unconventional setting. You will be essential to the rehabilitation of patients, conducting assessments and monitoring treatment plans that maximize recovery chances. Engage with interdisciplinary teams to support transitional care and mental health program development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess mental health needs for effective care planning
• Evaluate treatment plans and patient responses regularly
• Facilitate smooth transitions with community care providers
• Implement crisis prevention and intervention techniques
• Participate in improving mental health services and programs
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse status with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Commitment to obtaining mental health nurse certification
• Strong foundation in mental health nursing practices
• Ability to interpret relevant health legislation
• Collaborative approach to patient care
