Serve as a Safety Officer at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, focusing on Occupational Health and Safety compliance. This full time role entails implementing safety programs and conducting comprehensive audits within the healthcare environment.

As a temporary member of PRHC until June 2028, you will work under the guidance of the Manager, Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness. You’ll advise on legislative compliance, manage safety audits, and engage with multiple stakeholders to enhance health and wellness initiatives across the organization. Your contributions will directly influence the safety culture and practices at PRHC.

Key Responsibilities:



• Advise on Ontario Occupational Health and Safety regulations • Implement safety training and programs for staff • Conduct inspections and safety audits across the facility • Collaborate with various departments on safety initiatives • Liaise with the Ministry of Labour for compliance requirements

Requirements: • University degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety • At least 3 years of relevant work experience • Knowledge of safety regulations and healthcare protocols • Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities • Commitment to ongoing education and training in safety
