The Braiding the Sweetgrass program at Hull Services aims to address the impacts of intergenerational trauma among Indigenous communities. You will collaborate with BTS Facilitators and Elders to support the design and implementation of culturally relevant activities. The successful candidate will help create an inclusive space that promotes learning, understanding, and family connection while managing group dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in delivering culturally informed programming
• Foster a safe and supportive group atmosphere
• Help with preparations for activities and sessions
• Address behavior management using cultural teachings
• Support health and wellness through engagement and activities
Requirements:
• Experience working with Indigenous children and families
• Background in human services or related fields
• Strong group facilitation skills
• Availability for versatile scheduling
• Current Police and Child Intervention checks
