Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites is a locally owned, full-service hotel in the heart of downtown Victoria. Known for our spacious suites, exceptional guest service, and commitment to sustainability, we are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Worker to join our amazing team.
This is a part-time position with two (2) eight (8) hour shifts a week (Saturday and Sundays), primarily evening hours (1:30pm - 10pm) with occasional pick up to help cover for holidays or additional maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities
General building maintenance for the hotel and surrounding areas
Perform maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general repairs as directed by the Maintenance Manager
Routine maintenance and monitoring of the pool and hot tub
Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly, professionally, and with a service-first mindset
Assist with and complete longer-term maintenance projects as assigned
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for guests and colleagues
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel and restaurant environment
Broad hands-on experience with plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical, painting, HVAC, key card lock systems, mechanical systems, boiler systems, kitchen equipment and general upkeep
Have or ability to obtain a Pool Operators certificate
Skilled in the proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals and products related to the department
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow through
Comfortable working as part of a collaborative, team-oriented department
High energy, positive attitude, and solid work ethic
Demonstrated commitment to delivering an excellent experience for both guests and coworkers
Previous supervisory experience considered an asset
