Elevate athletic performance as the Assistant Coach for Strength & Conditioning at Western University. This in-person role emphasizes individualized training strategies and comprehensive athlete development programs.
As part of the Student Experience portfolio, the Assistant Coach will support Western's varsity student-athletes' health and competitive success. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based strength and conditioning programs tailored to multiple sports. Collaborating with coaches and health professionals, you'll optimize athlete performance and ensure a safe training environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement strength and conditioning programs
• Monitor athlete performance and provide individualized support
• Educate athletes on secure training practices
• Collaborate with sports medicine and coaching staff
• Ensure proper operation of conditioning facilities
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or related field
• NSCA CSCS certification or equivalent required
• 1-3 years’ experience in strength and conditioning
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Strong technical background in competitive sports
