Support nuclear engineering projects as a Senior Mechanical Designer with CANDU Energy Inc./AtkinsRéalis. Focus on piping design and complex project coordination in Ontario’s nuclear power sector.
This role requires extensive experience in mechanical and piping design, combining ten years of expertise with proficiency in AutoCAD. You will develop mechanical equipment and piping layouts while ensuring compliance with relevant codes, interfacing with various engineering teams throughout the design lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and modify design documents in AutoCAD
• Coordinate multidisciplinary models to minimize clashes
• Develop piping layouts ensuring safety and accessibility
• Assist in creating specifications for HVAC and plumbing systems
• Revise models from detailed instructions or marked-up drawings
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years in mechanical/piping design and drafting
• Experience with site layouts and industrial construction drawings
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D preferred
• Ability to interpret PFDs and P&IDs; effectively
• Robust understanding of ASME code and regulatory standards
