What you will be doing!

Managing a portfolio of large-scale, high-risk projects of critical significance, including multi-year initiatives with significant financial commitments.

Authorizing project expenditures and procurement activities within approved limits of authority.

Leading projects through all phases of execution, including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, and closeout.

Implementing project quality assurance requirements and promoting continuous improvement and customer satisfaction across the project portfolio.

Ensuring compliance with company procedures, project controls, operating instructions, and project-specific processes.

Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of technical safety management programs, including Conduct of Operations, Maintenance, Hoisting and Rigging, and Emergency Management.

Coordinating with Engineering, Safety & Licensing, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Planning and Control, and Construction teams to ensure project delivery requirements are achieved.

Participating in management meetings to establish priorities, address project performance, and support staffing requirements.

Collaborating with senior management, contractors, and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.

Monitoring project progress, investigating variances and trends, and implementing corrective actions to maintain project objectives.

Establishing and promoting a strong safety culture while ensuring all safety management programs are effectively implemented.

Leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing project team members to support individual and project success.





Managing project team performance through objective setting, performance feedback, and workforce planning activities.

Motivating project teams to deliver quality results safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Commerce, or another relevant discipline.

Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AACE certification is considered an asset.

Experience

5-10 years of construction, decommissioning, or other relevant project management experience.

Leading large, complex projects with significant budgets, multiple stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Managing project scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Supervising and developing technical and trade resources in a project environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to successfully lead large, complex, multidisciplinary project teams.

Demonstrated expertise in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and project controls.

Proven ability to manage contracts, negotiate effectively, and administer project agreements to achieve project objectives.

Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with project teams, senior management, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships across technical, operational, and corporate functions.

Applied knowledge of engineering, safety and licensing, procurement, quality assurance, planning and control, construction management, and associated business systems.





Demonstrated strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in complex project environments.

Proven ability to identify project risks, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

Thorough knowledge of project delivery within highly regulated industrial, construction, decommissioning, or nuclear environments.

Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees while fostering a positive and accountable team culture.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required

Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
